Champagne Chapuy
Blancs de Blancs Extra Brut Grand Cru
ABOUT THE WINERY
In the heart of the Champagne region, the Côte des Blancs in Marne is known for its Chardonnay vineyards, which cover 12 miles of east-facing slopes. Among the villages with Grand Cru status, Oger stands out as the home of the Chapuy estate.
The Chapuy family has deep roots in Oger, growing grapes since the French Revolution. In 1952, they began producing Champagne under their own name, and today the estate is run by sisters Elodie and Aurore. Committed to environmental responsibility, the family avoids herbicides, uses cover crops, and promotes biodiversity. Their dedication earned them the High Environmental Value (HVE) certification in 2017.
Chapuy’s Champagne is characterized by freshness and elegance, often achieved by blending wines that have undergone malolactic fermentation with those that have not. Their non-vintage bottles contain at least 40% reserve wine and are aged for several years before release.
